Mohamed has 18 years experience in extractive mining industry private sector. He joins Rio Tinto in April, 2021 as Business Partner HSEC and appointed as GM HSEC role since May 2022 assigned in Guinea for the Simandou Project. He began his career in Alcan in France, at the oldest alumina refinery, as a H&S Advisor and then hold various senior operational positions in in the mining sector in West Africa such as various BHP Billiton commodities, CBG, IAMGOLD and Emirates Global Aluminium. Mohamed holds a Master in HSE from the Reims Sciences University and has a long track record to bring about management system, IFC Performance Standards, leadership, behavioural and culture change.
