Andries Cilliers, MD à Madini Geoservices
Andries has 22 years’ experience managing multi-disciplinary teams specializing in all stages and aspects of mine project development.
He started his career as an Exploration Geologist for De Beers and was involved in the full spectrum of reconnaissance exploration, through to laboratory management and advanced exploration and project evaluation.
Thereafter he explored the East African orogenies for Ni-Cu sulphide deposits and Gabon manganese deposit whilst at BHPB.
As the Chief Technical Officer at Alufer Mining he managed all technical workstreams related to the Bel Air Bauxite Project from first drill hole through the feasibility study phases and onto Financial Close and was involved as New Business Manager thereafter and intricately involved in the construction and commissioning of the project.
Andries is now managing a multi-disciplinary team at Madini Ltd specializing in all aspects of mine project development – from greenfields project generation through to production. Madini focusses on delivering fit for purpose, value engineered and optimised solutions to project owners and investors.
Andries holds a Bachelor of Science (Geology Hons) (Stellenbosch) and Master of Science in Geology (Stellenbosch).
