Driven by a passion for economic development in Africa, Geraud has held numerous commercial, financial governance and leadership roles during more than 20 years in the extractive industry. He is now the General Manager of Rio Tinto Guinee and Rio Tinto Simfer. Prior to this, he was for 4 years General Manager of BP Senegal, leading in country the offshore world class gas project GTA. Earlier, he has represented BP in Algeria, Libya and Morocco. He played a key role in the start-up of BP’s business in Libya and led the financial performance of BP’s Azeri Chirag Guneshli asset in Azerbaijan.
